Meet Our Best Members
Our leadership approach is rooted in proactive, strategic oversight and hands-on management. This philosophy is evident in our properties, which allows us to navigate unique market dynamics and find new and exciting opportunities to add to our diverse portfolio.
Shailesh started SBM Hospitality 30 years ago when he purchased his first two hotels in Blue Earth, MN. Shailesh continued expanding the company's portfolio by purchasing properties across South Dakota in the early 2000s.
With continued success, Shailesh has been able to expand to multiple states in the Midwest including Iowa and Minnesota. Recently, Shailesh and the company opened properties in Connecticut, followed by continued growth in the northeast region.
Shailesh's ability to build meaningful and lasting connections to the communities in which he operates allows him and SBM to cater to its diverse client base. His attention to detail and hand on approach at all his properties allows them to set the standard in their respective markets.

Vinay pursued a degree in Engineering at Southern Connecticut State University. Since, he has worked as an engineer at top companies including JP Morgan and CVS Pharmaceuticals. After working as an engineer for over 20 years, he pivoted to working in the hospitality industry in 2009.
He currently resides in the Northeast and is an integral part of the operations and success of our properties in that region. His experience in hospitality coupled with his knowledge of the region and its network makes him a fundamental asset to the expansion efforts in the Northeast.

Aditi has a degree from the University of Michigan (B.A. 2020) with a major in Economics and a minor in Sociology. She began her career in Sales & Trading at Barclays, and later joined the strategy team at Compass, a Fortune 500 company, Aditi brings a unique blend of financial acumen and strategic insight to her role as Senior Associate at SBM Hospitality.
In her capacity, Aditi oversees financial planning & strategy, as well as portfolio expansion at SBM Hospitality. Leveraging her expertise in financial management and operations, she remains actively involved in the growth of SBM Hospitality.

Preet S. Patel attended Duke University (B.S. 2016) where he majored in Biology with a concentration in Markets & Management. He completed his medical education at Duke University School of Medicine (M.D. 2022) and is currently an integrated interventional radiology resident at Duke University Medical Center.
He also completed the clinical research training program (CRTP) during medical school which focused on clinical and translational research in addition contributing as author on 20+ peer reviewed publications and presentations. Preet was a scholar for the Feagin Leadership Program and for DukeEngage. He is actively involved in SBM Hospitality, primarily focusing on strategy, investment and real estate acquisition.

Surya R. Patel (f. Ravichandran) attended Duke University (B.S. 2016) where she majored in Biology. She completed her medical education at Duke University School of Medicine (M.D. 2021) and is currently a chief resident in Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center.
Surya was also scholar for the Feagin Leadership Program and co-authored a book on patient stories focusing on humanism. She also was a scholar for DukeEngage, founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation focusing on sustainable impact in communities across the world. Her practice and research will primarily focus on interventional cosmetics, laser and venous work. She is also actively involved in real estate acquisition and investment at SBM Hospitality.

All was very nice during my stay. The rooms were clean; the breakfast looked reasonable; the front desk was helpful. Check in was fast and without issue. Plenty of parking and conveniently located. Definitely a good place to stay while traveling.
One of the Best hotels in the area. I've stayed at this property several times in my visits to Mason City over the years. Always a pleasure to stay here. Consistently clean, easy check in, safe, nice breakfast, kind, personable staff.
Nicely updated, spacious and clean rooms. Quiet rooms with plenty of storage. Breakfast is adequate and nice- pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, biscuits and gravy, eggs, etc. Staff is nice and friendly. Would recommend.
We had a great experience at Courtyard Marriott New Haven Orange/Milford! The hotel is clean and well taken care of. The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Stayed 2 nights on our way back home. Friendly staff from the moment we walked in. Clean rooms, bedding and bathroom. We love the breakfast options at the Hamptons and this was great! Super clean area and so much to choose from. Great seating area outdoors that we sat outside to play cards. Great location and close to highways.
